When your computer’s storage is nearly full, the whole device slows down.
Fortunately, there’s a cool trick that’ll help you free up space in Windows 10 and 11.
It’s called Storage Sense.
When activated, it removes temporary files, old downloads and system files that are clogging up your device.
And it can be configured to only remove specific files, so you don’t lose anything important.
Go to Settings -> System -> Storage.
You’ll see a breakdown of your available space, including what’s stored on your device.
Switch Storage Sense from ‘off’ to ‘on’. This is where you can check what kind of files will be affected.
It’ll run automatically. But if you want to get started immediately click ‘Run storage sense now’.
Your device will get back some storage and might even run a little faster.
