Imagine an AI-enhanced experience that simplifies your company communication and boosts overall productivity to previously unheard-of heights.
Sounds like science fiction, doesn’t it? But, according to Microsoft’s recent statement, this future may be closer than you think.
Microsoft Teams is offering a ‘AI library’ that claims to transform our Teams experience.
What is the goal?
To make it easier for developers to include Large Language Models (LLMs) into their Teams apps. ChatGPT is the most well-known LLM right now.
You may be wondering how this will benefit your company. In essence, it may imply that you have a powerful AI at your disposal during your Teams meetings.
The AI library, which is currently being rolled out, will give developers with a set of code features that will make it easier for them to incorporate LLMs into their programs. This means it will be much easier to create Bots, Message Extensions, and Adaptive Cards for more engaging conversational experiences.
Microsoft promises that the AI library will also help with the smooth transition of current Bots, Message Extensions, and Adaptive Cards functionality into Teams.
Isn’t this the same business that provided us with the Copilot application? Yep! Microsoft announced GPT-4 integration throughout Microsoft 365 in March 2023 with its Copilot tool, which can whip up emails, produce reports, and, as Microsoft boasted grandly, “rediscover the soul of work.” Who knew artificial intelligence could be so poetic?
Not to mention the recently released tool that utilizes AI to produce meeting notes, recommend follow-up tasks, and even give timeline marks for easy access to crucial sections of a conversation.
Microsoft Teams is on a quest to reinvent our AI experience. It’s not only about making our lives simpler; it’s about opening up new avenues for productivity and efficiency. To be honest, we can’t wait to see what the new AI library brings.
