Without a doubt, Windows 11 includes a ton of awesome new features.
You’re missing out if you haven’t upgraded from Windows 10 yet.
There is good news, though. Microsoft is releasing a few of Windows 11’s most helpful features to make the (ultimate) transition from Windows 10 to 11 a little less difficult.
Printing should be a little simpler with the first. Your cheers can be heard from here! Anything that makes printing easier is also acceptable in our book. Printers don’t have a bad reputation for nothing…
With this feature, printing is PIN-protected. That is, when you want to print a document, you will send it to the printer, but it will not print until you approach the printer and enter your PIN.
By doing this, you reduce the risk of printing something confidential and leaving it on the printer for everyone to see.
Or printing multiple copies of the same document by mistake. Yes, this will cut down on paper waste.
There’s more, too.
Another incredibly helpful feature will soon be available in Windows 10. It’s called Focus Assist, and it works in conjunction with Do Not Disturb.
When you want some quiet time to do a task or conduct research, turning on do not disturb is a great idea. However, if you use it frequently, you risk missing a notification that is quite important.
Focus Assist prevents that from happening. When combined with Do Not Disturb, it still enables you to receive time-sensitive and important notifications and messages.
These features have been in testing since June of this year. There is no word on when they will be available to all Windows 10 users. But they’re already on their way.
