Check your data backup. (You do have one, right?)
This is a really good time to make sure you have a good backup in place. But you should also check that it’s actually working.
It’s too common for businesses to think they have a fall-back plan, but when the dreaded day comes, it turns out that it hasn’t been backing up for the last three months.
The last way you want to start a new year is by discovering all your recent business documents and data are gone.
So make it the last thing you check before you set your out-of-office this year. Oh, and lock the door on the way out.
